FAQs
What size are your hats?
The 5 panel hats measure approximately 22.5 inches (a little more than 57 cm) in circumference and can be adjusted with the snapback about 1 - 1.25 inches (2.5 -2.75 cm) larger. The 5-panel style hat fits closer to the head, much like a traditional baseball cap and has a depth of 12.5 inches (31.75 cm), with a low-crown fit.
The 6-panel style has the same circumference (22.5 inches) and measures 12..5- 12.63 inches across the top from ear to ear and the height from the center front brim to the top seam measures 6.3 inches (16 cm). It has more of a mid-crown fit with a little more space between the head and the top of the hat, in the front of the crown area, but is not as high as a trucker hat.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Most items are individually made to order. This helps keep the inventory fresh and avoid stocking unnecessary items that aren’t selling, keeping the costs lower for you all. Most orders ship out within 3-5 business days but may take up to a week or two during busy times or when I am traveling for events, although they may ship out faster if I have them already made. Certain items, such as the Willoughby Hoodie and Powder Day Hoodie, may take longer, between 2-3 weeks, during the holidays before they ship. Please read the description for a more exact timeline.
If you need your order ASAP, please feel free to reach out via “contact us,” and we will try to accommodate your request. However, please keep in mind this is not always possible.
Can I come to visit your shop?
I would love to have a space open to the public to come and try on gear, but I am balancing a grad school internship and running the business right now and unfortunately am not able to offer that option. I am splitting time between Vermont and Washington, DC while I finish up school and hope to be able to have a studio space/storefront option in the future, but until then you can find me at the occasional outdoor show, which are listed on my events page.
Where can I find your stuff?
I mainly sell directly to customers, but I currently have a small selection of hats in the REI Store in Williston, VT, and a more extensive selection of custom-printed Kingdom Trails Bike and Hike hats are available at the Kingdom Trails Welcome Center in East, Burke, VT.
If you would like to try the hats in person, check out my Events Page, where you can find a complete list of upcoming in-person shows!
Can I place a custom order?
Unfortunately, I am not currently open to custom orders. Once I can offer custom-size or fabric options, I will update this page with my availability.
Custom orders vary in price depending on the type or request, size adjustment, fabric option, and hat style. The minimum cost is the base price of the hat ($54-68)+ $15, and it goes up from there.
I do not have the ability to embroider your logo or company name on my goods. But feel free to look into working with your local screenprint/ embroidery shop to see if they offer such custom work after your hoodie/ hat is made.
All custom orders and special requests are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. This is because they are made per the customer’s request. If you have any issues with your custom order once you receive it, please contact me directly so that we can find a solution.
How do I arrange a return?
You are welcome to return any non-sale and non-custom ordered item within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund (minus shipping).
Please contact me to make arrangements for your return as soon as possible. I like to offer a wide variety of fabrics and prints; however, these are made in limited quantities and are only available for a short amount of time. This 14-day return window helps to keep the current styles up-to-date.
Sale items or custom orders are not eligible for return or exchange.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. You are responsible for paying the return shipping cost and any loss in value if the item returned is damaged or lost in the mail.
All hats should be returned in a box to preserve their shape. Hats returned in soft packaging or shipping bags may be subject to restocking fees if they are damaged in transit and require reshaping.
During the holiday season, I extend the exchange window until Jan. 15th to allow gift recipients to make an exchange. Any item purchased between Nov. 15 and Jan 1 is eligible for exchange up until Jan. 15th. Please note that you are still responsible for return shipping costs on gift exchanges.
Can you design and print/ embroider custom hats or t-shirts for my business?
Unfortunately, I do not have a large-scale screenprinting or mechanized embroidery system to make custom patches or logo-printed gear for others. A lot of time goes into producing handmade gear, and it is not always possible to offer a competitive wholesale price for others looking to resale their branded goods. There are some other great Vermont businesses that offer screen printing and embroidery services, such as New Duds in Burlington, that might be able to help you out.
If you have your own patches and would like to order a larger quantity of hats with your patch stitched on, please contact me to discuss services and pricing for bulk orders. Please note that this may not be possible during the winter holiday and mid-summer event seasons.
Most large orders can take 1-3 months to complete, depending on the workload at the time of the order. Please give yourself plenty of time if you are considering placing a large order.
Are you an established non-profit looking to partner on a design idea to raise money for a common cause?
I do selectively partner with like-minded local non-profits that help to build a stronger, more socially minded community. Although I cannot always offer my services, I do look for 1 to 2 partners a year who want to collaborate on a design (for a hat fabric) that can be sold to support and promote their mission.
If you think we would be a good fit for a partnership, please feel free to contact me with a brief description of your mission/ project, any design ideas, and your timeline.
